SoCo Lashes Shakes Up Beauty Industry with Product Launches, Business Retreat

Most of us are familiar with Artistotle’s famous line, there is no great genius without some touch of madness. For Jena Cash, licensed cosmetologist and Founder of SoCo Lashes, this philosophy rings particularly true. In 2016, Cash stayed committed to her love for nature and animals while she embarked on a journey that would lead her business to accomplish something no other eyelash extension company had done before. Using almost 100% biodegradable and recyclable product packaging and shipping material, SoCo Lashes established itself as the first-ever eco-friendly eyelash extension retail company. Many of the industry’s established companies now use the biodegradable lash box pioneered by SoCo Lashes. 

“I remember thinking that lash artists were either going to think I was crazy or a genius,” said Cash. “We are about five years into running our company and to this day our mission has stayed the same: To put our planet and its creatures first.”

The biodegradable lash box is not the company’s only product launch to shake up the industry. Its first product, The Jena Lens, was developed in 2018 to help lash artists showcase their work in a new way. It allows artists worldwide to mimic a professional image right from their phones. Without the hassle of using a DSLR camera, users are able to edit and upload photos to social media platforms instantly. 

Cash recently launched SoCo Business Retreat as an extension of her retail business to help beauty professionals hone in on their specific niche so that they stand out among others in the crowd. The retreat focuses on educating women entrepreneurs about how to execute a seven-figure income business plan. The programs offered include a Business Mastery Retreat and Business Mentorship Session. 

In addition to the retreat, Cash also hosts Inspo Podcast, which covers a wide range of topics to help grow the eyelash extension community and provide information on how to stay relevant and knowledgeable on the latest industry trends. 

Lash Booth Collective, a division of SoCo Lashes, is a workshop that takes a unique, inclusive approach to networking and connecting with other industry professionals. According to the company, the event provides a space that allows all competing brands to collaborate and learn. 

“Our business model has always been to build a brand that people can emotionally connect with, because this a business where your customers grow your brand for you,” said Cash. “In five years, we see our brand becoming among the most relevant brands in the industry, as well as providing products and trainings worldwide.”

The company reveals that it has been invited to host a Lash Booth Collective event on opening night at The Lash Conference in Pasadena, CA November 4, 2022. This will be the first event with over 75 attendees.
