New York’s Apex Performance Gym Announces Plans to Offer Franchising

Garnerville, NY – Rockland County gym Apex Performance has a 5 year plan: and that includes building on its current expansion by offering franchising options, both in the fitness coaching and online nutrition arenas. The award-winning gym just opened its second location, and is currently expanding its online nutrition services, My Apex Coach, which services clients all across the country.

Owner and CEO Andrew Capul started the company 8 years ago and has seen significant growth and success during that time, as the business started with one small gym, and now includes a total of 8,500 square feet between two facilities, as well as the popular online nutrition services.

Due to the success in the adult training space, Capul states that the company’s 5-year plan includes creating Apex Bootcamp licensees. “We have built a model that can be replicated by anyone willing to follow the plan and put in the work,” he reveals. “We know what works and what doesn’t. We expect to have our bootcamp and nutrition coaching models licensed and helping people all over the country in our 5 year plan.”

The company is also planning a grand opening ceremony for the new location in Garnerville, New York. Even while the new location was being prepped for new clients, the company won Your Town’s Best Magazine’s 2022 Best Gym in Rockland County award. Thus far both facilities have been fully booked with both adults and youths. Due to the demand, Capul made the decision to split the types of services offered at each location.

“One facility focuses mainly on bootcamp, cardio, and boxing,” he says. “This is primarily adults between 30-65 – usually parents. The other facility is for strength training and our youth sports program. Splitting these up made sense because each program requires different types of coaches and different equipment.”

He shares that the company also boasts the largest organized program for ages 12 and under in the county, through the gym’s partnership with the Parisi Speed School offering. “This class gives athletes 12 and under the opportunity to join a class built for their age to develop confidence, athletic development, and injury resiliency,” he says. “We really had to open a new facility. It’s exciting news and it’s long-awaited.”

Having the two separate facilities has already allowed the team at Apex to further its development of the main aspects of the company, which is the Apex Athlete program (targeted to middle school, high school, and college athletes), Next Gen (kids ages 6-12), Strength (all ages looking to improve strength and build muscle), and My Apex Coach (the online nutrition system).

Capul shares that the next step for the company includes developing the My Apex Coach even further. “Clients can speak with one of our nutritionists and get a simple plan to achieve their goals with repeatable and reasonable action steps that are easy to follow,” he says. “Though we started as a business coaching and training baseball and softball players, we’ve expanded so much – from prepping hundreds of athletes to play at the college and professional level, to training national champions and future Olympians, to now having one of the largest adult training programs in the lower New York area in the boutique fitness center space.”

He says that the company’s newest advances, both in the new facility and the plans to franchise within the next 5 years, is a testament to the team’s dedication to the community. “A big part of our success has come from learning that providing value is the ultimate goal in running any business,” he wraps up. “Our main goal is to provide as much value for our community as we can. By us doing that, almost everything else handles itself.”

Apex Performance is a gym providing personal training, coaching, nutrition, and more, both in the two brick and mortar locations and online via the virtual My Apex Coach website and app.
