Ryan Stream: Change Your Mind, Change Your Life

The mind-body connection is a strong force even with traumatic experiences and abuse. Award-winning musician, professional speaker, and war veteran Ryan Stream is no stranger to pain, suffering, and hardships. Our decisions impact our lives and our thoughts are often the sources behind the reasoning. When our mind is still in panic mode, it can deeply impact how we react and it can make things so much harder for us to cope and move forward.

From our experience, wisdom can be born. Ryan Stream has the right experience for his kind of wisdom. From a broken and destructive path, Ryan has been able to overcome bad decisions, addictions, PTSD, and painful memories and experiences with the power of his thinking. “I almost lost my family because I was a mess. PTSD was really hard on me and my wife and I couldn’t keep following the patterns I was trying to get out of,” he says.

Ryan had a pretty rough childhood and led him to make poor choices later on. After repeating a lot of the same mistakes over and over. “I had drug addictions and a criminal record after high school, and then joined the military where I witnessed a lot of heartache and destruction, but I still hadn’t dealt with what was hurting me from when I was a kid,” Ryan explains. “I didn’t know how much positive thinking and changing my thoughts would make such a huge difference. I had been homeless as a kid, my parents pretty bad decisions, my father was incarcerated and my mom committed suicide. I ended up in foster care and struggled in school because of an undiagnosed learning disability. I felt so alone.” Now Ryan travels around speaking about his experience and teaching people how important their thoughts are to their healing, how to take care of their mental health, and leadership.

Whether you are struggling with addiction, homelessness, abuse, PTSD, a criminal record, a broken family, or all of the above, there is always a way into a better life, a better focus, and healing. “I struggled with all of those things and it was all extremely painful, but there is a way out, I promise you. Healing is not so far off because if I can do it, you can too. I always have to remind myself that when you struggle you also build strength,” Ryan says. “It’s a way to connect with people that can help anyone that needs the motivation and the inspiration to make a better choice for themselves and their families.”

From high schools to universities, to real estate conferences in Mexico to big stadium events, adult and youth conferences, Ryan can work almost anywhere. Booking him would include over an hour of an extremely entertaining performance! Not only does Ryan speak about conquering his past, leadership, and mental health, but he has also signed a music contract and  sings country, rap music, and plays the piano blindfolded and backwards while giving advice and addiction testimony, fun stories, and inspirational words for the future. Most importantly, he goes over the skills the audience would need to change their thinking, grow and evolve past their current selves into achieving, confident, and healthy people.

Ryan has multiple sources of income and finds joy in helping others stand up with purpose and focus to obtain the same rewards. He is developing his career as a multitalented motivational speaker, model, actor, pianist, and musician who performs in front of packed crowds. He travels the world, talking about how to overcome adversity, have a healthier mentality, and stay positive with adults at real estate conferences in Mexico, inside prisons, and at universities and with youth at high school assemblies, elementary schools, and concerts. He has been featured in dozens of magazines including Valor magazine, Entrepreneur, Yahoo!, Influencive, Marketwatch, and been honored with multiple awards for music and speaking. He had already released a third album called Front Pages and was awarded Best Video of the Year and People’s Choice at the LDS Film Festival.

Ryan is working to create new opportunities, inspiration, vision, and motivation for the success of the brand and for the audience that connects with it. Based out of Utah, he has had bookings within the state and across the nation, and he has shot music videos all over the world. He has even been able to play the music that he composed, and has been a shining light of positivity where there seems to be not one. “One thing I learned is that we all have made it through the hardest days of our lives, so we can look forward to better days ahead.”

Positivity is a strong source for change, focusing on opportunities, and crafting the narrative that you want your life to lead. “We have worked to make every event an extraordinary one, the music, the lights, the speaker, the message is all crafted and picked by me to showcase the best message and the most fun possible,” Ryan says smiling.

No matter where Ryan gets to perform and share his story, he always has the great opportunity to connect with others, educate, and inspire them to change their thoughts and be their best self. “My life is completely different now and I know that if I can do it, others can, too,” he says.
