Dr. Carlos Mata: Restoring Men’s Confidence with Male Enhancement Procedures
Confidence is everything for a man. Confidence can be a decisive factor in relationships, job opportunities, and many of life’s other possibilities. For men, this is especially true, as society has been conditioned to expect confidence and strength from men. A lack of confidence and self-esteem can come from many sources, but body image issues (especially doubts surrounding one’s manhood) are a very common concern for many men. Plastic surgeon Dr. Carlos Mata, aka Dr. Scottsdale®, has seen an increasing number of men coming in to inquire about male enhancement procedures and penis surgeries. “Plastic surgery is not the taboo that it was twenty years ago. More and more people – especially men – are realizing the benefits of cosmetic procedures every day,” he explains.
The Plastic Surgery Stigma is Fading Fast
Harvard-trained Dr. Carlos Mata is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Natural Results Plastic Surgery. He believes that the increase in interest may be the result of a growing social acceptance of plastic surgery. “With COVID and the explosion of social media like TikTok, plastic surgery is becoming more popular,” he explains. “People are not ashamed of talking about it anymore. Now that the stigma is dying out, men that have only wondered about the benefits of plastic surgery and non-surgical enhancement are gaining the confidence to take the next step and make an appointment.”
Cosmetic Procedures Can Increase Confidence
Many men are plagued by self-conscious thoughts regarding the size of their genitals. These doubts can seriously affect a person’s body image and self-confidence, which in turn can affect relationships, job performance, and other important areas of life. Male enhancement procedures and penis surgeries can help to address cosmetic concerns and increase men’s confidence, but some men feel hesitant to commit to surgical enhancement. As Dr. Mata explains, “It’s a big commitment, and some people may not feel ready to take the risk.” That’s why Dr. Mata offers a range of non-surgical enhancements and non-invasive procedures.
Dr. Mata typically opts for nonsurgical enhancements rather than phalloplasty (surgical penile lengthening) for a variety of reasons. Perhaps the most important reason is that nonsurgical procedures can be performed in the privacy of the Natural Results exam room, whereas more invasive surgeries requiring anesthesia or incisions would need to be undertaken in the operating room. In addition, nonsurgical enhancements allow for quicker recovery and no scarring.
The Magic Shot™ for Non-Surgical Male Enhancement
Men are traveling from across the country to receive a new cosmetic procedure created by Dr. Mata himself. The Magic Shot™ treatment utilizes FDA-approved injectable fillers and/or fat transfer to enhance the width and girth of the penis, which can increase both confidence and pleasure. “We use fillers – hyaluronic acid injections, commonly used for lips – to increase the volume of the penis,” Dr. Mata explains. “Placing the filler into the penis allows the patient to gain extra girth and thickness, about 20% on average.” This procedure has little downtime, allowing out-of-state patients to fly in and out of Scottsdale on the same day.
Acceptance Will Spur New Growth in Plastic Surgery
With increasing social acceptance for both men and women, plastic surgery is thriving. Dr. Mata doesn’t see this trend stopping any time soon. “I don’t think plastic surgery will ever stop growing. As technology and techniques become more advanced, I think cosmetic enhancements will become even more common.” As the industry continues to grow, Dr. Mata hopes to help men and women across the country feel better about themselves and their appearance.
