The Sandra Showalter Williams Foundation and Manny Showalter Release Book Detailing Knowledge of the Streets
ATLANTA, GA–The Sandra Showalter Williams Foundation and its founder, Manny Showalter, have announced the publication of Self-Made: Combining Financial Knowledge & Self Experiences with Wisdom to Impact the Culture. Authored by Showalter, the book outlines a solid blueprint for success in life and offers insights into business, interactions with law enforcement, relationships, a strong work ethic, addictions, credit repair, and more.
Showalter is a well-known author, nonprofit leader, and motivational speaker and is using his own life experiences to help others. He says that growing up, he did not have his biological father and, as a result, missed out on key advice to guide him through life’s inevitable challenges. As a youth, he got into trouble and went down the wrong path. Despite this rough start, he overcame the odds and earned his bachelor’s degree in business before going on to become a highly successful entrepreneur and real estate investor. He is now mentoring youth and young adults so that they understand how to find their own purpose and success.
“I had to learn many lessons on my own, which is definitely the hard way, so I understand the struggles that so many teens and young adults face today,” Showalter explains. “I wrote Self-Made to show them how to not only survive in a very tough world but thrive.”
The book encourages each reader to think outside of the box so that they can change their life for the better. It delves into the deeper issues experienced by many today, including artificial intelligence, the health crisis and personal wellness, career satisfaction, and money for college. It also offers suggestions for people who are at low points in their lives, including how the incarcerated can use their time in prison to develop themselves, and details the pros and cons of bankruptcy.
While Showalter is an accomplished business leader, he has not lost his ability to connect with the younger generation. Each chapter of Self-Made includes positive rap lyrics, carefully chosen to emphasize key points and make the book more relatable for youth.
“I hope that every reader of Self-Made, no matter their age, will walk away feeling uplifted and inspired to overcome every challenge they encounter, no matter how difficult it may be,” Showalter says. “At The Sandra Showalter Williams Foundation, we want to make it easier for everyone to climb to the top of their own Mt. Everest and enjoy the view.”
