SpeedRunners 2: King Of Speed Sprints Out Of The Gates This Year
TinyBuild has announced a sequel to its frantic footrace from 2016. SpeedRunners is a multiplayer side-scrolling racing game where players must platform through a level faster than their opponents. The title had a solid reception, landing at an 84 out of 100 on Metacritic for its Steam version. It was also briefly recognized as an esport by the Electronic Sports League. Today, TinyBuild announced it is partnering with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl developer Fair Play Labs for a sequel that will arrive on Steam this year.
With up to eight players per lobby, you take control of a superhero as you run, jump, climb, and use power-ups and items against your opponents in a blistering battle for first place that involves an ever-shrinking ring of fire. SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed aims to up the competitive ante with improved visuals and gameplay while still remaining faithful to the formula that made the first title a cult hit.

SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed will launch on Steam sometime in 2025 and then come to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch in 2026. The original game is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
