ByJacub tells us the 5 steps he took towards starting his clothing line.
.) I really focused on growing my personal brand first and tested a lot of ideas subliminally to my audience just to see what they would think of it at first. I knew this would be the people purchasing it so I had to make sure we both liked it.
.) I really focused on my product and design, I wanted to make sure it was the best possible product I could create. I didn’t want to just do some basic logo & definitely didn’t want my audience to put it in the merch category.
.) I wanted to be in control of shipping it out myself, and will continue to do this as long as I can keep up with orders. I check the piece before packaging it because I want to make sure I have 100% customer satisfaction for as long as possible. This is one of the advantages I have compared to huge clothing brands.
.) I really wanted my Personal brand and clothing brand do have a message, which is create something you enjoy. My audience already knows this and I have seen people start making stuff they’re very proud of, I have even reposted some stuff on my page.
.) Final step is promoting the brand in a creative way, don’t just post a picture in the clothes. Tell a story.
