<p>Today’s Xbox Games Showcase 2025 wrapped up after plenty of new announcements, including <a href=”https://gameinformer.com/xbox-games-showcase/2025/06/08/the-persona-4-remake-is-real-and-its-called-revival”>Persona 4 Revival</a>, <a href=”https://gameinformer.com/xbox-games-showcase/2025/06/08/the-outer-worlds-2-targets-fall-release”>an Outer Worlds 2 release date</a>, our first look at the <a href=”https://gameinformer.com/xbox-games-showcase/2025/06/08/microsoft-partners-with-asus-for-dedicated-handheld-xbox-device”>ROG Xbox Ally</a>, and more. But some might have noticed that while today’s presentation focused a lot on 2025, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer teased some plans for Xbox’s 25th anniversary next year; and it seemingly includes Playground Games’ <a href=”https://gameinformer.com/product/fable”>Fable</a>, <a href=”https://gameinformer.com/product/gears-of-war-e-day”>Gears of War: E-Day</a>, an unannounced Forza game, and the<a href=”https://www.theverge.com/2024/6/6/24172684/microsoft-xbox-showcase-2024″> Halo remaster reportedly in development, according to The Verge</a>.&nbsp;</p><p>During today’s showcase, Spencer said the following around <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/live/_M3QwLBrg8g?si=QLN4P3r2hvXkLYPL”>the stream’s</a> two-hour mark (including the 30-minute countdown at the top of the stream), as spotted by <a href=”https://bsky.app/profile/ethangach.bsky.social/post/3lr4i6v7lmc2p”><em>Kotaku’s</em> Ethan Gach</a>: “I’m excited to share that players will get to celebrate 25 years of Xbox with a new Fable, the next Forza, Gears of War: E-Day, and the return of a classic that’s been with us since the beginning.”&nbsp;</p><iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ frameBorder=”0″ width=”640″ height=”360″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/FDgR1FRJnF8″ frameborder=”0″ allow=”autoplay” allowfullscreen=”true”>&nbsp;</iframe><p>We already knew Fable was coming next year after <a href=”https://gameinformer.com/xbox-showcase/2024/06/09/playground-games-fable-gets-2025-release-window-in-first-gameplay-trailer”>a delay out of 2025</a> back in February. And though we knew about <a href=”https://gameinformer.com/xbox-showcase/2024/06/09/gears-of-war-e-day-is-a-prequel-set-14-years-before-the-first-game”>Gears of War: E-Day</a>, we didn’t know it was set to launch in 2026 before Spencer’s comments. We still don’t know what the next Forza is – Horizon is up next in the franchise’s traditional cadence – but it sounds like it’s coming next year alongside <a href=”https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2024/10/06/halo-studios-unreal-engine-interview/”>Halo Studios’ (formerly 343 Industries)</a> remaster of <a href=”https://youtu.be/NagEESsI7uQ?si=ti8X5oJ6f55S9V0U”>Halo: Combat Evolved</a>.&nbsp;</p><p><em><strong>Editor’s Note: </strong>The text has been updated to reflect wording about the Halo remaster that’s reportedly in development.&nbsp;</em></p>
