Baby Steps, the humorous physics-based walking game by the makers of Getting Over It and Ape Out, has its first playable demo, revealed during the PC Gaming Show. The news comes after the announcement of the game’s September release date during this week’s State of Play.

Baby Steps is the result of a collaboration between Ape Out developers Gabe Cuzillo, Maxi Boch, and Getting Over It/QWOP mastermind Bennett Foddy. It stars Nate, a lazy, unemployed man who learns how to take his first steps in the outside world and toward personal independence as he tries to “find meaning in a wasted life.” The physics-based walking simulates Nate’s awkward movement as players carefully guide him on his journey across scenic, fantastical locales.

You can check out the Baby Steps demo now on Steam.
