Veteran Serial Entrepreneur Brian Goldstein, Shares Insights on Success
Investing is a way to set aside money while you are busy with life and have that money work for you so that you can fully reap the rewards of your labor in the future. Investing is a means to a happier ending. Legendary investor Warren Buffett defines investing as “… the process of laying out money now to receive more money in the future.”1 The goal of investing is to put your money to work in one or more types of investment vehicles in the hopes of growing your money over time.
That being said our Editor-in-chief, Shazir Mucklai had a chance to chat with Brian Goldstein, a serial CEO and investor, to get his take on entrepreneurship and success.
SM: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
BG: While I have set many goals for the next couple of years, my biggest goal is to grow my mentoring program to reach thousands of people in helping them reach their full potential. I see myself speaking to thousands of people sharing my life experience of going from someone with little to no resources to a man that has great reach. I hope that my life story inspires others to keep moving forward.
SM: How do you define success?
BG: I define success as someone that is able to not only provide for his family but help those around them reach their goals and financially provide for their families as well. Someone that is successful is able to look around and see that they have reached a pinnacle in any aspect of their life and say that this is exactly where I envisioned myself when I first got started.
SM: How do you find opportunities?
BG: The best way I have found to find opportunity is to put yourself out there, which means spending time networking and meeting people in different fields. Whether that is through going to social gatherings or business events, you have to do your best to meet people and ask them questions about what they do and how they do it.
SM: What has differentiated yourself from others in your space?
BG: I have exponentially expanded my business by thinking outside of the box. I tried to take an idea and market it in a way that reaches many more people. I spent time marketing myself as well as my brand while others stayed the more traditional route of hoping business would find them.
SM: What does your business do?
BG: My business is to coach others through their life problems. I try to help others work through their personal and professional problems to find the path to success. Most of my time is spent speaking to my clients about how they can solve problems in their personal and professional lives that they have held back by.
