New Book By Tolbert Brothers and Christopher Guyton Helps Clients Secure Payment Card Data

Cyber security attacks have become increasingly problematic. It has been shown that cybercriminals can penetrate 93% of company networks. Cybercrime cost US businesses more than $6.9 billion in 2021. Only 43% of businesses feel financially prepared to face a cyber-attack in 2022. Helix Contracting Solutions and Cyberlux Consulting have partnered to expand their services to help combat this problem. Their field of expertise is cybersecurity solutions for the payment card processing industry.

Their new book, titled A Privilege Security Approach to Securing Payment Card Data, has recently been released. This book focuses on Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) 4.0. The PCI standard is mandated by the card brands, and is administered by the Payment Card Industry Standards Council. PCI DSS 4.0 was released in mid 2021 and doubles the bandwidth of version 3.

Joshua Tolbert, Danny Tolbert Jr., and Christopher Guyton have combined forces for this book. It is aimed at helping individuals and businesses prepare for and defend against cybersecurity risks.

Joshua Tolbert is a seasoned cybersecurity professional, author, and public speaker. He specializes in Identity Security.  He has served as a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and has consulted for Capco, Deloitte, IBM, CVS Health, Coalfire, Aprio, and Western Union. He is also the founder of Helix Contracting Solutions, which is dedicated to helping enterprises maintain PCI DSS compliance through effective security strategies and solutions.

Danny Tolbert has over 12 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry. This experience is as a consultant and advisor to Carnival Cruise line, Verizon, Teradata, and a number of other Fortune 500 companies. His role was to help these companies stay PCI DSS compliant. He is the founder of Cyberlux Consulting LLC. Danny is also an author and speaker in the IT industry. He has dedicated his life to his two beautiful children. His first born was his daughter Amynah and next came his son, Daniel. Danny loves camping and hosting BBQ Competition Battles.

Christopher Guyton is a tenured cyber professional with over nine years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance. He is the co-founder of GFS IT Management Group. He has also assisted many organizations to maintain Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance and prepare audit and assurance packages. Christopher has consulted for major utility companies in aspects of IT/OT integration. His approach to cybersecurity follows a quote from Britney Hommertzheim. “As cybersecurity leaders, we have to create our message of influence because security is a culture and you need the business to take place and be part of that security culture.”

Together, these three individuals form a powerhouse of cybersecurity. Their services include Ransomware Protection, Compliance Readiness, and Cyber Insurance Analysis. Ransomware Protection can help businesses protect privileged accounts and credentials. Solutions such as privileged threat detection, credentials management, continuous scanning to validate credentials, zero-trust isolation, stopping cyber-attacks, and meeting compliance regulations are just some of the services offered.

When people in a company take on a new role, it is necessary to make sure that access remains appropriate for every user – even bots. Compliance Readiness will keep your organization secure and audit-ready for PCI standards. Solutions include attack mitigation, operational efficiency improvements, complete visibility, and meeting compliance regulations.

Since doing any business online comes with risk, cyber security insurance is an effective way to share some of this risk with an insurer. Minimizing the cost of cyber insurance is something that Helix Contracting Solutions can help with by implementing strong security controls against phishing and credential theft. They will also consult with companies regarding the best strategies against ransomware and data breaches, which also lowers the company’s risk profile. A lower risk profile equals lower insurance rates. Every business that accepts card payments needs to have business processes in place to manage cybersecurity risk. Companies like Helix Consulting Solutions and Cyberlux Consulting are prepared to assist companies in combating these threats. The Tolbert brothers and Guyton’s new book, A Privilege Security Approach to Securing Payment Card Data, offers companies a blueprint for cybersecurity preparedness.
