Infinity Healing’s Sophia Suraya Pursues Innovative Holistic Healing Options

  • More people seeking therapy & coaching than ever before
  • Traditional therapy sees limited results
  • Industry sees increase in holistic and spiritual approaches

The global mental health market value was approximately $383.31 billion USD in 2020 and is anticipated to reach a value of $537.97 billion by 2030. Essentially, people are troubled around the world – and are spending billions of dollars in trying to treat, understand, and cope with a vast array of mental and emotional disorders. Many professionals feel that we are currently in a mental health crisis, and traditional therapy only goes so far.

Sophia Suraya created Infinity Healing to combat this by approaching the global mental health pandemic in a way that is measurable, spiritual, but universal for all belief systems. She is a practitioner of Energy Healing, which address spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being. “We are all 99.9% energy and 0.1% matter,” says Suraya. “And yet, we forget to care for ourselves on an energetic level.”

In her healing sessions, Suraya practices focused meditation and visualization techniques to help build a connection with her clients and, in turn, assist them in connecting to their deepest emotional states to release negative energy and thoughts. This type of healing has proven helpful with anxiety, depression, addiction, and other imbalances that create conflict and disorder.

Suraya has helped clients all over the world, as her services are available both in person – she currently resides in Vancouver – and remotely. The success of Infinity Healing is indicative of the global shift toward holistic health, which is an approach that considers multiple dimensions of health. Suraya encourages her clients – and everyone she encounters – to consider the entire person. “We are more than a body,” she says. “We must address not only the physical self, but also the mental, social, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual aspects of ourselves.”

The holistic health industry, referred to as the complementary and alternative medicine market, reached over $100 billion USD in 2021 and is growing exponentially. However, it is still far outstripped by traditional medicine – which in many cases does little to ease clients’ discomforts, physical and otherwise. In addition, many who need help don’t seek it, as was demonstrated in a recent study by the World Health Organization (WHO): as many as 80% of people with mental health issues aren’t even trying to get help.

There are a multitude of reasons for this, but common factors include the high cost of treatment, the lack of demonstrable growth after enduring traditional therapy, and the hesitation to take prescription medications.

Thus, more people struggling with mental health issues, substance abuse problems, emotional disorders, and more, are looking for new options. Infinity Healing fills the gap by providing a personalized service in which Suraya spends time getting to know her clients, and discovering the root causes of their troubles. She has a unique perspective, in that she herself once struggled with depression and anorexia. “I have been where many people are,” she says. “My problems began, as many others’ do, with childhood trauma.”

Sophia started life as the victim of war, fleeing from her native Kabul as a refugee. Her family settled in Canada and she has since found constant inspiration by her parents’ courage and sacrifice. “A desire to help them and others was forever instilled in me,” she shares. “I was driven to make a difference in other people’s lives from an early age and knew I could help in some way.”

Suraya provides a variety of services, including cleansings, reiki healing, and chakra alignment, among others. She strives at all times to make her services universal, meaning that a client need not subscribe to any particular belief system in order to receive healing. Her clients include Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, atheists, and others.
