iONE Digital Launches Rebranding Strategy for 2023
New York, NY – Urban One’s digital-first platform iONE Digital has released details of its planned brand repositioning and expansions, based upon the marked success the company has seen as far as cultural impact and advertising revenue throughout 2022. Part of the company’s brand repositioning includes broadening their digital reach across platforms and bolstering new and exciting external advertiser relationships.
iONE Digital is broadening its programs to develop and distribute premium, original short form programming relevant to multicultural audiences at scale. The dynamic team, comprised of seasoned marketers, digital experts, social experts, data and analytics professionals, brand relationship executives and publicity executives will handle the amplification of content created by affiliate brands and agencies, along with original content created by iONE – and distribute it selectively across the Urban One universe as part of an ongoing linear marketing strategy spearheaded by One Solution, Urban One’s award-winning branded solution division, who connects projects across digital, broadcast and radio divisions of the Urban One company.
Tiffany Nasralla, Chief Revenue Officer at iONE Digital, who is elated to continue propelling the imprint of this digital conglomerate into the future stated, “As authenticity matters now more than ever, iONE Digital has been, and will always be, a trusted source to share our stories. We are intentional about managing the mantle of cultural responsibility and will continue to work diligently with brand partners to ensure that the culture is respected and protected.”
In addition, iONE will be expanding its brand-relevant offerings and sponsorships available across all its associated sites, which includes a full spectrum of video solutions from custom programming to high impact ad units. The rebranding will shift even more focus to providing in-demand original content to clients through the company’s network of celebrities and content creators.
iONE’s extended platform for 2023 will deliver desired content to a multicultural audience at scale, offering dynamic solutions for reaching key audiences. The purpose for the rebrand has been to clearly synthesize and articulate iONE Digital’s mission and positioning statement in the digital publishing space as a respected leader of urban culture with influential, authentic, and authoritative content and brand voices.
Additionally, the team has sought to further highlight the company’s core mission of providing a platform for those who otherwise might not have an audience, illuminating a spectrum of stories otherwise unheard in modern media.
The campaign is being spearheaded by Jeff Meza – SVP, Head of Integrated Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, and Branded Content at One Solution, the branded entertainment, integrated marketing, and strategic partnerships award-winning division within Urban One. “Urban One is the only Black-owned and operated fully integrated media company in the country,” he says. “Currently, iONE, combined with the various divisions of the media conglomerate that is Urban One, reaches 80% of Black America, on average monthly. With our substantial growth in 2022, we knew it was time to branch out and amplify our content to new heights!”
Meza has propelled the One Solution team to an unprecedented thirty-nine awards/accolades, inclusive of Best Branded Content Studio two years in a row (2018-2019), across top industry organizations. He brings over 22 years of media and entertainment experience to One Solution and iONE Digital as a multi-dimensional marketing professional focused on accomplishing key business objectives through strategic planning, innovative thinking, collaboration, and effective communication from ideation through tactical execution and implementation.
“By representing Black truth and lifting these voices we create a platform for our people, and a power source for the culture,” Meza states. “We show brands why iONE Digital is the one-stop-shop for reach within urban culture. The beautiful complexity of the Black experience cannot be captured in a single story. Radio One lit the spark in 1980, broadcasting Black voices at a time when our viewpoints were absent in the airwaves. Together with our Urban One family, the iONE Digital team keeps that legacy alive through innovative storytelling and experiences for a diverse Black audience. From our roots in radio to our future in frontier technologies, we always represent our community with honesty and nuance.”
The company’s digital focused media conglomerate, which includes radio, TV, and production divisions, has seen measurable and growing success with advertisers and content that directly engages both millennial and Gen-Z multicultural demographics across pop culture, music, women’s interests, health and wellness, beauty, and so much more, all of which will be expanding and further developed over the next year.
Allison McGevna, SVP of Content at iONE Digital stated, “Our team is deeply invested in creating content that showcases a multitude of Black stories and storytellers, from all walks of life. We are working tirelessly to create content, ranging from video to audio to editorial to social, that really speaks to the culture.”
